well in my opinion the oldest versions of windows where better then the new ones! what do you vista/win7 Rc fans think?

95 revolutionized the industry in it’s day. It was basically Dos with a shiny GUI less windows 3.1 like. 98 sucked until SR-2. ME shouldn’t have existed. NT 3.51 and 4.0 were not very stable. 2000 was solid as was XP. I can’t stand Vista but it’s gotten better since SP2. I like windows 7 so far. I’ve had some software compatibility issues I can’t seem to work around even with the compatibility layer/feature. I’ll chalk that up to the RC status. Overall seems better than Vista. It’s a viable replacement for XP. For the office environment XP is still king. I don’t think anyone will every really fully adopt Vista. I still use linux. I use windows in virtualbox seemless mode for testing. I still prefer XP over any other version for day to day use that’s until more software supports windows 7. But I won’t pay for an OS if I don’t have to.
