I’ve been looking at the Mac’s and I realllly like them from what i’ve seen. It is a bit more costly compared to other laptops though, is it worth it?? Also what other laptop would be suggest?? I don’t do any serious stuff on the computer but the hard drive has to at least be 120 GB

well, you have two options, the first of course is mac. macs are good, but they are spendy. If you can afford a mac and aren’t going to be gaming, then by all means, buy the mac. they really are nice. the hardware isn’t quite as extavagant as can be found on many windows based pcs. but this extra hardware i.e. ram or faster cpu’s isn’t really nessesary because osx and leopard are less resource hungry than vista. The only draw backs to a mac: 1. the price, I am sure you are well aware that great technology is hardly ever cheap. 2. it might take a while to get use to the different layouts mac offers. but this is minor really since osx is designed to be intuitive, similar to vista really. 3. if you buy a mac, you mihgt have to act like a cool snob, just comes with the territory. Your other option for owning a laptop is of cours a pc based one. The bennifits to a pc: They will cost less than a mac A good one will be able ot play games and function great for some time. There are many more models to choose form. You get to sweat it out with the politeriot. As far as a specific model goes, well there really isn’t just one specific model or brand when it comes to a pc. but there are bad companies like ACER who offer cheap budget rip offs that will not stand the test of time, thenthere are the dime o’ dozen name brands, dell hp, compaq, alienware, sony, toshiba, that will give you both cheap knock offs at a worse price than the acer or decent computers at horrendous prices. Finally there is the honest manufacturing pc company. there si only one at this time. ASUS. this is a small company in the laptop trade, but they have been makng all the high quality parts for the name brands for years. now they are in the buisness of selling great laptops for consumers at the cheapest prices possible. and those laptops spec for spec can be anywhere form $400 to $1200 less than the compettitors.
