Is there a portable hard drive available to buy that is of 1TB in size and powered by USB? Thanks To those helpful but silly peeps who might have misread the question: The Hard Drive MUST be powered by the USB connection, NOT by an external power supply. Thanks again dudes.

Not sure if they make a 1TB external drive – but there are a handful of external USB hard drive cases that will hold two drives. With one of those, and a pair of 500Gig drives, and you are set. (Plus you can have some extra built in redundancy by copying data to both drives in case one decides to fail).
